ANTEQUERA
Antequera is a surprising, ancient and very special city. Its geographical setting in the center of Andalusia makes it an excellent base camp for touring the fascinating towns and cities of southern Spain. The most beautiful places of Malaga province and its Costa del Sol, Huelva, Seville, Cordoba, Jaen, Almeria, Granada and Cadiz are in easy reach.
In addition to its prime location, Antequera’s succulent cuisine, dreamlike landscapes, rich artistic and monumental culture and welcoming inhabitants make it a must-visit destination.
THE APARTMENT
The best way to visit is to stay in a quiet and comfortable apartment, lovingly designed in typical Andalusian tones, such as olive green and lemon yellow.
I am a professional decorator and a passionate traveler, so when designing this apartment, I kept in the forefront of my mind all the things I like to find as I roam around the world.
When it comes to accommodation, I have always opted for a fusion of security, fair price, comfort and tranquility. If what you are looking for is to rest peacefully after visiting the most iconic corners and landscapes of Antequera, this is the place for you.
Located in a beautiful, colorful and traditional garden sector of town, the apartment offers you the pleasure of living in an authentic environment, one minute from the bus station and a few blocks from the center.
The Verde Oliva Albero Limón apartment has two connecting rooms, ideal for independent travelers, couples with or without children, friends travelling in a group… Its two bedrooms with 1.50 m beds and its two living rooms with two sofa beds of the same size can accommodate eight people. Depending on your needs, you can use the whole apartment or just one part.
For your comfort, it has soundproofed walls and ceilings. Its reinforced doors, insulated windows and an efficient air conditioning and heating system will keep you as cozy as in your own home.
We pay attention to every detail, which is why the apartment has LED lighting sensors that create a warm atmosphere in the bedrooms and a more neutral light in the living rooms and bathrooms. In addition, with just one click, you can regulate the light intensity according to the moment. And for your entertainment when you choose to spend the evening in, you have Wi-Fi and a TV with entertainment channels.

The beautiful designer kitchens are fully equipped with an oven, extractor fan, microwave, refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, as well as all the utensils and accessories needed to prepare your favorite dishes. As for supplies, there is a huge supermarket and fruit shop two minutes’ walk away.
A soothing detail intended to enhance the relaxing atmosphere of this special place is the coordinated color scheme of the bathrooms and the kitchens.

As this is an apartment located on the ground floor of a building with its own entrance, it is adapted for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair access is possible. The external and internal doors are also adapted, making it easy to move around inside.
Traveling with animals is delightful, so if you are responsible about your pets’ needs and good behavior, you are welcome to bring them.
In addition, there is easy parking on the street, if you are going to travel by car along the roads of Andalusia. Yet this convenience is to be found in the quiet tranquility of a residential area full of plants and gardens. Not bad at all!

GASTRONOMY
Antequera is world-famous for its olive oil production and its wide variety of fruits, vegetables and select meats. Furthermore, its proximity to Malaga makes it possible to have a wide range of fish and seafood. You can also enjoy the typical “cañas y tapas” and a surprising selection of beers, wines and traditional dishes with centuries of history.
ICONIC LANDSCAPES
Imagine walking on the seabed… Yes, this unforgettable experience is offered by the fascinating surroundings of Torcal de Antequera, which millions of years ago was under the sea, whose currents shaped sinuous rocks with a surprising and mysterious appearance. Or feeling the challenging vertigo of the Caminito del Rey bridges, in one of the incredible mountain landscapes. Or seeing migratory pelicans and flamingos in the pink Laguna de Fuente de Piedra. Or delighting in the poetic love story that is attributed to the origin of the romantic Peña de los Enamorados…
Or simply stroll through the endless mountains with ridged peaks overlooking the nearby villages. Simply unique.
FOR YOU FROM ME
I like authenticity, so I offer you a selection of my favorite places for you to enjoy three wonderful days in Antequera:
On the first day, when you wake up, I suggest having breakfast at La Antequerana café, just a few minutes from the apartment. There you can taste the famous “mollete antequerano” and get some energy for a stroll through the nearby gardens and streets of the center. It is essential to visit Calle Alameda and Infante Don Fernando and have tapas at the popular bar Castilla, also known as “Guanchi.” For lunch, I recommend Mesón Adarve or Mesón Casa Diego, also very close to the apartment.
Afterwards, you can walk towards the upper part of the city, see the stately facades of the buildings and monuments and enjoy a purple sunset on the balcony of the Arco de los Gigantes and the enigmatic plaza de la Colegiata de Santa María. For dinner, what better than to savour the award-winning cuisine of Arte de tapas or Arte de cocina. Afterwards, go back to the apartment to rest.
The next morning I suggest having breakfast at the lovely El Jardín creperie, just a few minutes from the apartment. Afterwards, thrill to the stunning nature of the area, visiting the Torcal, the Caminito del Rey and the fascinating landscapes of the Chorro reservoir. On returning to Antequera, you can have a typical nougat ice cream at the Alacant ice cream parlour. For dinner, without a doubt, the Mesón Coso Viejo, its idyllic location, the exquisite service of its waiters and the meticulous cuisine, will create a memory you will long cherish.
On the third day, for breakfast, I recommend eating the typical “churros” at the busy La Fuerza café. Then, you mustn’t miss the prehistoric Dolmens, with their megalithic caves Menga, Viera and Romeral. Take a trip to the charming Peña de los enamorados. To close the gastronomic circuit of my favorite places, I held back the exceptional Toral restaurant. You should know that on Friday it offers unforgettable tapas. Later, for dinner, visit the beautiful and colorful Mesón Juan Manuel, located in one of the most beautiful alleys in Andalusia, where delicious Andalusian specialties are to be savored.
After a starry night’s walk through the center, you are now ready to arrive at the Verde Oliva Albero Limón apartment and rest.
Of course, I hope that in every moment, you will love, laugh, celebrate and dream.
